Our client is a fast-growing Fintech Startup in the Nigerian Payment ecosystem with a presence in more than 5 African countries.

The Company is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Technology Manager that will function in the capacity of a CTO, to establish and drive the technical vision of the company and lead all aspects of technology/product development.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build the agile technology environment to deliver reliable and efficient technology solution to market.

• Ensure that the company’s technology strategy serves its business strategy.

• Assess current and anticipated business needs related to technology ranging from servers to application development.

• Monitor technology trends and performance of current technology solutions within the business assessing user adoption, daily users of software or service, or areas where the company is not fully utilizing its technological capabilities.

• Define metrics to measure the company’s current and future technology solutions, comparing actual results to internal and external benchmarks.

• Implement a company-wide framework for technology standards, practices, IT policies and strategies that will empower the business and its people to deliver on their commitments.

• Identify opportunities to utilize and implement emerging technologies into the organization’s practices and operations.

• Utilizing information on emerging technologies, coordinate the development and infrastructure teams to determine whether a particular technology or solution could benefit the company.

• As part of the business continuity plan, ensure that there is no failure in business operations and appropriate disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested for the readiness of unforeseen and unexpected events which can impact the business continuity.

• Coordinate periodic risk analysis to identify security threats, formulate strategies and methods to mitigate the threats.

• Ensures the execution of an information security strategy that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and servers.

• Establishes a governance process that meets government, partner, and company expectations for customer information privacy.

• Lead strategic insight and overview of business case justifications and ROI analysis for IT spending and initiatives.

• Ensure total quality management through uniform processes and procedures.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.

• Oversee core IT Infrastructure, Network, Business applications and related IT Operations of the business.

• Be responsible for compliance with IT security policies as well as regulatory prescriptions.

• Identify, exploit, integrate and leverage the latest technologies to scale the platform.

• Help shape the future of the business as a member of the Senior Management Team.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

• Good first degree in Computer Science or related fields

• Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Software design & integration

• End to end security with knowledge of PCI-DSS, ISO 27000

• Familiarity with the integration of testing frameworks/tools

• Experience with database deployment and management

• Able to think about ways of improving the productivity of developers

• Risk management/Disaster Recovery

• Must have experience in the financial service industry.

• Should have programming proficiency in the object-oriented design such as Java EE or Java Spring

• Firsthand knowledge in supervising the development of software solutions.

• Experience in Mobile Payment, e-Wallets, Core Banking Solutions, Mobile Digital banking, networking, server administration

• Exposure to Cyber Security Technologies, Financial Information Systems, Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) & e-commerce would be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with agile development and other common development methodologies

• Familiarity with information and network security and risk management

• Proven experience in building, coaching, and mentoring cross-functional teams within the technology space.

• Experience in leading the execution of strategies.
